Hedrick Lake in Northern BC2025-May-28Variable

The Gleason FSR has a section that is flooded but passable with an SUV, water levels may change and the road may eventually wash out.

The Hedrick Lake trail was clear of snow until the last 1 km to the Lake, where we navigated constant snow. The trail was in good shape for the first 6km then slowly becomes rough and hard to follow due to a lot of deadfall. Water crossings were high so be careful.

This hike is located a 2.5-hour drive northeast of Prince George, BC. Follow the same directions to get to Fang Mt or The Farm, driving into the McGregor mountains down Pass Lake Road. This hike is very remote but the trail itself does not have much elevation gain. There is no cell signal in this area so be prepared for emergencies.

Just wanted to say thank you for your you tube video of Hedrick Lake trek, I have made it a goal to do this trek, I am hoping this fall.
I am new to Prince George myself and have been exploring the trails in and around outskirts of city.
I got a link to your LC GUNN trip video which now led me to your site……. thank you for sharing your experiences I wish to have similar ones myself.
