This hike is located a 2.5-hour drive northeast of Prince George, BC. Follow the same directions to get to Fang Mt or The Farm, driving into the McGregor mountains down Pass Lake Road. This hike is very remote but the trail itself does not have much elevation gain. There is no cell signal in this area so be prepared for emergencies.
The cabins and boats at the lake are private property, not public use nor abandoned. The owner has no problem with people enjoying what’s there, however out of courtesy please contact them ahead of time if you plan to use them. Out of respect for the use of private property, please contact Eric Hanson with McGregor River Outfitters. 250-614-3488.
They have owned these cabins for nearly 30 years. We have left the one unlocked to prevent damage of people breaking in and for people to enjoy.
Just wanted to say thank you for your you tube video of Hedrick Lake trek, I have made it a goal to do this trek, I am hoping this fall.
I am new to Prince George myself and have been exploring the trails in and around outskirts of city.
I got a link to your LC GUNN trip video which now led me to your site……. thank you for sharing your experiences I wish to have similar ones myself.
