![]() | Murray Range in the Pine Pass in Northern BC | 2025-Jul-17 | Variable | THIS TRAIL IS VERY SLIPPERY AND STEEP. ON THIS DAY IT WAS THE SLIPPERIEST IVE EVER DEALT WITH. THE START OF THE TRAIL ON THE BERM IS THE ALSO THE THICKEST BRUSH IVE DEALT WITH THERE. THE WILLOWS ARE WELL OVER MY HEAD AND ITS LIKE A TUNNEL. CROSSING THE FIRST SNOW PATCH WAS VERY SIMPLE BUT THE SECOND CROSSING THE SNOW WAS VERY HARD AND SLIPPERY. I CHOSE TO WALK UP AROUND IT AS I DIDNT HAVE SPIKES AND THE CROSSING WAS TREACHEROUS. THERE IS A LITTLE SHELF ABOVE THE ROCKS THAT IS QUITE COMFORTABLE. | TAZ |
This drive to the trailhead is about 2.25 hours from Prince George, BC to the Pine Pass North. This beautiful/steep hike has much to offer and cell service is limited, this trail begins before the More well-known Mt Murray trailhead which is north of this location. This trailhead is immediately after Azouzetta Lake lodge.
