Today was yet another reminder of why we’re so lucky to live in Prince George. Our community and region is one gigantic winter paradise and playground.
Awesome to see so many people in this group embracing how special winter is in Northern British Columbia!

Mt Pope today was pretty socked in at top. But still a great day adventuring with people. We brought our snowshoes along for the hike ...they need to get out and adventure too right?? but they weren't needed. Our motto better safe the sorry After 4km marker snow was deeper bit soft but we didn't post hole at all. Hair definitely got frosty lol

17 Ramblers were treated to blue skies and sunshine on Pope today! We even had lunch on the top with minimal wind! Perfect spot for refueling and heading back down the alternate trail back to the parking lot.

Mount Pope is a day-use park popular with hikers and rock climbers. A 6.5 km hiking trail to the peak provides a panoramic view of Stuart Lake and the mountains to the north. There are 39 climbing routes documented. There are two tracks shown below, the longer track is the main trail and the shorter track leads to the T-Caves.
