	Tacheeda Fire Lookout Trail	2025-Dec-22	Snowshoe Packed	Trailblazed/ snowshoed Tacheeda lookout trail today. It was a slog. Most of the trail was thigh high bottomless powder. Took us 6:45 and decided to turn back the last 400m to the lookout cause we ran out of daylight. Bit of a sufferfest for sure. Get out there and finish what we couldn’t !

	Tacheeda Fire Lookout Trail	2025-Jun-06	Dry	The Tacheeda Lookout Trail is clear to the top as of today. Bring bug spray otherwise a good moderate hike.

Tacheeda Lookout Trail is about 11 km round trip and a moderate difficulty hiking trail that gradually weaves through various forest types and terminates in a sub-alpine area at the peak of Tacheeda Mountain, where the recently renovated Tacheeda Lookout Tower stands. Those who make the trip will be rewarded with spectacular views of the area, as the elevated tower provides excellent 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape.

The drive from Prince George, BC to the trailhead is approximately 85 km north of Prince George. Turn right onto the Chuchinka-Colbourne (2000) Road and follow the road as it turns into the 800 Road, and the trailhead is located on the right side of the road at km 840 (17 km off the highway)
