The original Torpy Trail (located in Evanoff Provincial Park) was built by George Evanoff (as was the Fang Trail). Mike Nash helped him build the Torpy Trail, while Dave King helped him on the Fang Mt Trail. George and Mike first reached Torpy Mountain on a long day hike from an overnight camp above the original Torpy Trail. Prior to building the Torpy Trail, Mike had bushwhacked up there with George on at least two occasions.
